This hotel delivered exactly what I was hoping for. It is literally across the street from Reading Terminal Market which was amazing. Additionally it is steps away from lots of different means of public transport from the trolley to the Phlash to the train from the airport. It was within excellent walking distance to all the historic sites as well as shopping. I do have a few minor complaints though. One was that the pool was more designed for swimming rounds rather than relaxing. Very disappointed that there was no hot tub. Additionally, this hotel didn't give you the options to keep your towels. I kind of dislike getting a new set of towels everyday since that generates so much waste in washing towels constantly. Additionally the maid threw out my half used bottles of shampoo and gave me new ones everyday of my stay which I also found very wasteful. In short though, the hotel was nice. They could have made themselves more eco-friendly I suppose but overall I loved my stay here.

The Hotel was great! Very conveinent to transportation and close enough to walk to most attractions. The employees were very friendly and helpful. My younger daughter lost her watch and she asked housekeeping to help her look for it,they did not find it and left her a note. I thought that was very kind of them. (we later found the watch in her luggage) Our room had high ceilings and it was very spacious and beautiful. My children liked the "spinny" doors too. We stayed from Monday to Friday we will stay longer if we come back because there is so much to see. We ate dinner at their resturant three of the 4 nights of our stay. Our server Christopher was very friendly too. No problems at all. FYI parking was 43.80 (with tax) a day. I thought that was a litttle high but it was pretty much about the same everywhere in the city.

Hotel was standard room with great beds. What you would normally expect. However, it was a great location to all sights, especially if you are willing to take the local transportation. My sister and I took the train from the airport to Market East Station which is just one block from the hotel. ($7 one way, you don't even have to have a ticket, there's a conductor on the train to get your fare). Reading terminal market is at the front door and Independence hall is 6 blocks away. (for $3 more we upgraded our train ticket to a bus pass for the day and took in all the sights).

Everything was good with the hotel. Bed was VERY comfortable. We had a very good maid that was very friendly & took excellent care of our room. The hotel was hosting a couple of conventions, but all services & requests were handled professionally. Only downside is that the room decor needs to be updated a bit and they charge $13 a day for internet which is a little much in this day & age.

The Marriott downtown was great. The hotel staff was helpful and very nice, they made us feel very welcome. We were in walking distance of alot of the touristy things, the Reading Market is right there and it has alot to offer. Macys is just around the corner and restaurants are very close. Our room was very clean and comfy. We had no complaints except we went to the football game and our team lost :( but the Eagles fans are so supportative of their team its hard not to have a good time. We would go back, the people in philly are very friendly to tourist. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Great breakfast bar in the restaurant downstairs a little pricey but very good.
