this hotel was wonderful!! my girlfriend and i stayed for three days. the view is absolutely breathtaking!! we were on the third floor, and that was the first thing we saw as soon as we opened the door. the suite is very nice. we're not hard people to please, and this place definitely exceeded our expectations. i will say that i was a little worried, due to some of the older reviews on travelocity. but you can tell that the hotel has stepped it up!! those earlier reported problems been fixed. the staff is very friendly and helpful. there is a small convenience store inside the main office, where you can get anything from feminine products to a frozen dinner. very convenient, although we mostly ate out and cooked in our own room. the suite kitchens have plenty of utensils as well as: a blender, toaster, coffee maker, strainer, pots and pans, and cutlery. the bedrooms also had extra pillows inside the closet and extra blankets. this will come in handy as the rooms are downright chilling at times, no easy feat on tampa bay. there's a pier overlooking the bay. it's mostly used for fishing during the day, but is very romantic for sitting at night. the pool is nice and comfortable. not too cold, and goes as deep as 7.5 feet. wow!!! the very best thing this hotel has to offer are the views and the sunset. this is a wonderful way to wake up. and at night you can stand on your veranda and watch the twinkling lights from the tampa bay bridge. we ate at a place called whiskey joe's, which the shuttle took us to. great food for dirt cheap. if anything, they need another elevator. two thumbs way up!! we will definitely be back!!

My family & I stayed at the Sailport Resort July 17th - 20th & we really enjoyed the room & the service...and the price was wonderful for the room we received. The only thing I could say that was even remotely negative is that the on-site restaurant "The Rusty Pelican" was too "high-class" for a family on a leisurely vacation. We walked over & read the menu & proceeded to walk back to the room, get in our car & go across Hwy 60 to Bahama Breeze. With the exception of the wait (it's a popular restaurant) we had a wonderful time & EXCELLENT food! The room was a one bedroom suite which was great! It was newly renovated & had new comfy carpet, spacious closets, down bedding & brand new stainless steel appliances in the full kitchen (flat cooktop stove/oven, fridge, microwave AND dishwasher). Every room in the hotel faces the water, and our hostess seemed to be very concerned about getting us the best view from the available rooms (which I may add had a beautiful view of the bay & the pool. The sofa bed mattress was a little thin & next time I will spring for the extra cost of a two bedroom (which is still economical). My husband's only gripe was the t.v. in the bedroom which was smaller than a laptop screen. Who wants to watch t.v. on vacation anyway??? There was a huge family reunion at the hotel that weekend & it was a little noisy outside at night, but we couldn't hear a thing inside the room. I wish that the pool would stay open past 10 p.m. Vacationers like us would have enjoyed taking a nighttime dip in the pool. The hotel also had lots of nice recreational areas which everyone seemed to enjoy. There was also covered parking & on site hotel security which was nice. I almost hate to give away the info about this secret hotel tucked away at the end of the point! I don't want the hotel to be full the next time I book a getaway! i will definately stay at the Sailport Resort again! What a bargain it was for the room you get! Thanks Sailport staff for being so friendly & helpful!!!

Sailport is a wonderful place to get away from it all! The staff was very helpful, and the van drivers were awesome also. They have free shuttle service from the airport and anywhere within a 3 mile radius, this was really nice. Our room was beautiful and the view took your breath away! Everything was very clean and tidy. We stayed for a total of 4 nights before and after a cruise. What a wonderful place to unwind after the cruise. I will be back real soon. I have found a new little hide away to get away from it all! The price was amazing for what you get. Overall review......Just Amazing!!
