We were pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. The room was updated and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom shower was awesome. My daughter-in-law said she couldn't believe it was a Holiday Inn. The location was near to everything we wanted to see in the historic district. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating to our every need. I would highly recommend this hotal.

Great location in the Historic District of Philly. Room was clean and comfortable. Not a lot of amenities in this hotel, but you don't go to Philly to sit by the hotel pool. Parking was $ per day, which is not bad compared to many other cities, and is very reasonable for downtown Philadelphia.

This property is well-maintained and well-staffed. Front desk personnel are welcoming and helpful. There's a lot of attention to detail evident here. I really appreciated the bright, well-lit interior halls. Nothing dark or dingy anywhere. Our room was on the smaller side, which is not unexpected in an urban hotel. Still, the feel of the room was clean and bright, so we didn't feel crowded, despite the size. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were quite nice. The on site restaurant was just fine with us. We walked so much during the day, we were just too tired to do more than head downstairs for a sandwich. But we really weren't sorry at all, because the food was quite good. The sweet potato fries appetizer was yummy, and generous enough to satisfy two people easily. The business center was a stand-out feature at this property. It's available around the clock, offers privacy and security, and multiple computers. The gift shop was a useful convenience, as well. There is just one unhappy thing to mention. The coffee served at the restaurant is exceptionally bad. Really startlingly bad. Fortunately, a little coffee shop just a block away came to the rescue, and even offered sidewalk tables - a most pleasant beginning to our day. The location is just splendid for vacationers interested in the national treasures that are nearby. We were pleased to be here, and would stay here again.

I read many reviews before choosing this hotel. They must of done some remolding because the reviews from 2006 did not fit this hotel. The location was great. It was in walking distance to everything historical. We had to pay for parking but it was just a one time charge and there was no other place to park. Our room was very nice and the bathroom looked new. We were on the 6th floor. We had a room with two double beds and they did not seem small at all. The pool is on the roof out side. It is small but lots for chairs if you want to just go sit outside and not swim. There were a lot of kids in the pool so you could not swim to much. It would be nice if it had a hot tub up there also. We did not eat at the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.
