Stayed 4 nights in October- nice room-clean-good service- restaurant was fine for breakfast and very reasonable. Shuttle service was quick and timely. I used the Express bus to get to Manhatten each day. With senior rates at $7.50 each way- it was a pleasant 35-50 minute ride to and from Manhatten. The Newark Airport Airtrain makes most walking unnecessary getting around the airport. Lots of flight crews use this hotel which I took as a good sign. I paid less for 4 nights here (on an online package deal) Than 1 night would have cost for a comparable room in Manhatten.

  • Easily accessible

The hotel itself is slightly remodeled from its former Ramada Inn site, but it is not run well. Understaffed around the clock. Front desk swamped around the clock. Cant get problems resolved if you have any, as you cant get to the staff to speak with, constant 24/7 checkins. They cant answer the phones for so many checkins and problems standing in front of them. Housekeeping at this hotel is a ROYAL JOKE. Rooms are not cleaned even when you ask the housekeeping department members on your floor, or when you go down to the front desk and ask again hours later. The housekeepers seemed to be invisible, and nowhere to be found, til I ran out of toilet paper after 2 days of no service at all, and front desk not answering I went looking and found them all in an empty room watching TV!!! When I finally got the exec housekeeper into look at the room, she couldnt get any of them to answer their radios, and I waited 2.5 hours for toilet paper. The price is right, cheap, but for a reason. Look elsewhere and pay a few bucks more. I have travelled the U.S. for over 27 years in my sales career, and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in more than one night. They charge Wyndam rates and give you 6th class across the tracks service. Kudos to the swimming pool man, he kept it spotless, and to the assistant front desk manager for trying her best to fix all that ails this hotel.
