Not nice, especially for the money

Our room smelled - like fruits and vegetables going bad! We opened all the windows and blasted the AC, to no avail. I paid the same as I paid to stay at a Wingate in the area only a couple of weeks earlier and the Wingate was MUCH nicer. I would advise everyone to ck out the Wingate on Pelham road. Also the towels were tiny and very thin. I'm not that picky, I was just looking for a clean, non-smelly place to stay. The only reason we took this place over Wingate was that Mainstay took pets. The smells had nothing to do with pets. I may leave my Chihuahua at home next time!

After checking in, my little girl happily ran down the corridor ahead of me but then stopped and said ""It smells like pee!"" She was right! The odor was strong and disgusting. My father called the front desk and was told that they were trying to address the problem but that a couple have been staying there for 5 months with their 3 cats and the litter box is next to the door. Oh my. My room seemed fine at first. But when I got into bed, I noticed a strong odor. I checked the pillows. The pillows had lots of sweat and blood stains on both pillows. Gross! I called the front desk and they asked me to bring them to the desk for replacement. The attendant glanced inside the pillow case and said that was normal for their hotel. Unbelievable. I got in bed with the replacement pillows and noticed that strong odor again. I sniffed around a little and realized that I was smelling pet urine on the floor next to the night stand. I called the front desk. The attendant said she was surprised since no one has stayed in that room in quite some time. I asked her to please come down and smell for herself. Her reply: ""No, I'm pregnant and I'll probably throw up if I smell that."" I asked for another room. She said the only available room on that floor was next to that room with the 3 cats. I decided to pass on that experience. She did find me a room on the second floor which was fine. Advice: Stay away from the first floor. Check the pillows!

We arrived in the late evening and the Customer Service was excellent. We had never stayed at this brand hotel in the past. The hotel was excellent. Easy on/off interstate. It was very clean and very comfortable for tired travelers. We have commented to many friends and family and business associates about the excellent price and value for this hotel. We will definetly book this hotel and brand hotel for future. The breakfast was easy and good and we were very pleased with the whole experience.

As a woman traveling alone, I had concerns about security. The Desk Clerk, Ashley, put me in a room just off the lobby, where I felt safe. She was as personable as if the facility were her own home. She helped me with directions to the airport, and she was very helpful with every question I had. The room was very clean and comfortable. I'll stay there again.

This is a most excellent place to stay for short term or long term stays. The staff, from front desk to housekeeping and maintenance staff, are always friendly and welcoming. There are washers and dryers available, high speed internet in the rooms, and wireless internet in the lobby/breakfast room area. The rooms are big and comfortable and a good price. The Manager's Social is a good way to unwind after working all day. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.
