There was a mistake with my reservation that was handled poorly. Was planning on a romantic get-away in the spacious suite that viewed online. I even sent in a request stating that I was willing to pay more and upgrade since it was my girfriends birthday. Disappointed does not begin to describe the way I felt when I was led to a room without a view that had two seperate beds in it. This was not the room that was confirmed on my reservation. While admitting the mistake, the hotel did little to solve the problem. Customer service can go a long way in these situations but unfortunately the staff did not rise to the occasion. For the money, a much better experience can be found at the Wentworth Mansion, Charleston Place, or the Market Pavillion. With so many other nice hotels in Charleston, this is not one I would recommend.

Location is prime in the heart of this easily walkable city. Love the restaurant in the hotel...Staff was friendly and very helpful. The public room was comfortable and had refreshments available day and evening...I especially enjoyed the fresh decaf coffee and cookies in the evening. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and have great bathroom lighting. We enjoyed our second visit and plan to stay here again when we visit Charleston.

This was an amazing gem in Charleston. Right in the heart of the historic district everything was within walking distance. The service was 2nd to none! Rooms are quite spacius and very tastfully decorated.Very Charming!!
