didnt like at all

Not only was this hotel not near as nice as it looks on the internet but it smells funky, the hallways are super dim and the rooms are really outdated. Even for the price there were several other hotels that would have been much better and more comfortable. The pool is only 3 1/2 feet deep and the hot tub was broken. Oh! and the cookie that they give you at check in is about the only thing that was good about this hotel. On the tv you only get like 5 channels, the bathroom didnt have an exhaust fan and the toilet didnt flush right. Keep looking, I'm sure there is a better hotel near austin at a comparable rate. I almost forgot.....they also charge eight dollars a day for parking and its self parking!

The Doubletree is a great hotel chain, but this location was mediocre. The halls of all floors smelt of meldew. It if off an exit of 35, and if you don't merge to the right immediately you will pass it up. The staff was great, pool was clean. Compared to other Doubletree's I've stayed at this was OK.

Lots of courtyards and balconies. Nice size pool, but the kids were a bit disappointed that it was 3.5 feet deep in all areas of the pool. Nice hot tub off the pool. 6 stories of balconies circling the courtyard and pool areas giving it and old world feel. Very nice hotel. I imagine it was quite the place back in it's day (built back when all the ritzy places like this one had phones next to the toilettes... ;) ) Got a very nice Hotwire rate of $*a night making it a very nice value. Cookies at the front desk were good and Pappadeux was a 45 second walk right across the street.
